Mosaic Church invites you to join them for an engaging and insightul webinar with renowned scholar Walter R. Strickland II on February 20 at 7 PM. Strickland's presentation dives into the rich and often overlooked history of African American Christianity and is based upon his two-volume series that highlights the determined faith and theological contributions of Black Christians throughout U.S. history. Together you will explore five key theological anchors: Big God, Jesus, Conversion and walking in the Spirit, The Good Book, and Deliverance.
The journey will span the 1600s to the present, uncovering how African American Christianity has shaped faith, culture, politics, and social justice. Volume 1 offers a theological-intellectual history, while Volume 2 presents primary-source documents that let us hear these voices firsthand.
Stay for a live Q&A following the presentation, and be in the running for some exciting giveaways for a few lucky participants!
