In 2016, the United Methodist General Conference approved Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) Awareness Sunday to be observed annually. West Ohio churches may celebrate UMVIM Sunday on any Sunday they choose. On UMVIM Sunday, churches are encouraged to provide informational resources about UMVIM and ask mission team members to share about their own mission journeys. A special offering may be collected and used to support either a local church's VIM journey or be sent to support the North Central Jurisdiction's UMVIM program (click here to learn more).
