As an affiliate of Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church, New Path, Inc. is a Christian nonprofit organization committed to fostering stability and transformation for people in the Miami Valley.  They do this through ministry programs that live out the call of Christ to love and serve others, especially those in need.
While New Path, Inc. offers many ministries operated by both staff and servant leaders, the focus of their programming is providing affordable alternatives to basic needs for those people struggling economically; and a pathway to a more promising life assured through better education, access to technology, stable housing, and safe neighborhoods.

Whether by providing a place to get clothes or household items, nutritious food, spiritual support, and more, New Path’s doors are open to help transform lives.
Two of New Path’s more popular programs are Anna’s Closet and the Gleaning Place, where individuals are given the opportunity to shop for gently used clothes as well as gently used home products. Here they can find clothes ranging from casual to work attire, as well as bedding, hand towels, and detergent just to name a few.

J.J.’s Furniture provides hope through Christ’s love to those who need it most. At J.J.’s, survivors of domestic violence, fire, or environmental damage, are able to shop for home furnishings for free. Individuals leaving a homeless shelter are also welcome to shop at J.J.’s.

New Path also offers two different food pantry locations to reach and serve as many individuals in their community as possible: Tipp City Choice Food Pantry, which is open to residents in Miami County three days a week; and Piqua Food Pantry at The Bistro, which was created through a vital relationship with the Council on Rural Services. Collectively, New Path provides fresh produce and other nutritionally rich foods to many in the community.

New Path recognizes the importance of prison ministries and the impact Jesus can have on those transitioning from prison back into society. They work to show Christ’s love through their Ex-Offender Reentry Program, which provides financial assistance, as well as household goods for former inmates. These transitional services can prove to be lifechanging for individuals who are working to reestablish and readjust themselves in the community.
Other ways New Path provides lifechanging support is through their GIVE medical ministry program, and their CAR Program. The GIVE Program offers free medical, spiritual, and psychological help. The CAR Program is an initiative that fully embodies the ideal of “ministry with, not to.” This program provides a car to individuals who do not have secure means of transportation after they volunteer a certain number of hours with New Path. After participating in the numerous New Path volunteer opportunities, individuals become immersed in the community and with New Path’s mission. Participants tend to get so involved in New Path’s ministries that they continue volunteering permanently or seek employment after completing their volunteer hour requirement.
