Belmont United Methodist Church in Dayton is looking for a part-time organist/keyboardist for rehearsal and their Sunday morning blended service.

The person in this position will work closely with the Worship Leader, the Praise Team, and the Pastor as they plan the worship music with a focus that helps meet the church’s mission of Following Jesus, Growing in Faith, and Making a difference.

Gifts & strengths desired:             A stable, maturing Christian with a strong commitment to Christian values and moral standards in Scripture.  Organizational, leadership, and shepherding skills

Talents and abilities desired:        Training and experience in organ, piano, and electric keyboard

Time commitment each week:      Approximately 15 hrs per week

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key member of the Worship Team, working with worship leader, the lead pastor, accompanying musicians and other staff members. 
• Attend all staff meetings.
• Coordinate with the worship leader in selecting appropriate praise music for the Sunday morning worship service.

• Participate in music rehearsal once during the week. 
• Rehearse with Worship Leader a half-hour before the service on Sunday morning.
• Share the church’s vision.
• Show enthusiasm and enjoy contemporary styles of music.
